John 12:24 KJV
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the
ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much
fruit.”
God didn't just ask us to sow seeds while He Himself never practiced it. There are several scriptures to show that Jesus was referred to as God's seed in the bible.
Galatians 3:16; “Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, “And to seeds,” as of many, but as of one, “And to your Seed,” who is Christ." NKJV.
God had to sow a very precious seed of His only begotten son for the purpose of a harvest of sons. Hebrews 2:10 made it clear to us that God gave Jesus in order to have many sons.
It is true that you reap what you sow, and God didn't just say it, He did it. Today you and I can be called the sons of God. John 1:12.
When you have a seed, it remains alone until you release it to the ground; then and only then will it produce a harvest for you. The seed goes into the ground and fights the forces underneath the earth in order to ensure a harvest.
The earth will not yield a harvest for you just because you desire it, you must defeat the powers that are beneath the earth.
And so, Jesus descended into hell (the grave) according to Ephesians 4:9 in order to spoil principalities and powers for our guaranteed victories in life. It was then that He ascended to fill all things.
God used Jesus as His own seed and personal sacrifice to let us know that His principles and laws do not fail. Once your seed can hit the ground there must be an ascension or a rising.
And this rising happens in form of fruit bearing. Isaiah 37:31 says we shall take root downwards and bear fruit upwards.
Jesus did not waste His life, and that is why we are saved and many more can be saved.
God redeemed this world by His seed (Jesus), teaching us that any time you are hard pressed and in a difficult place, any time you seem to be scattered and broken; all you need to do is look for your seed.
A seed that will make war for you underneath the earth so you can bear fruit upwards.
Grace to follow the example of your Heavenly Father in Jesus Name.
Assignment
-Thank God for this word today.
-Make up your mind to follow God's examples with faith in your heart from today.
-Ask God to show you what to do and what to sow in order to come out of your present predicament, regardless of the nature.
Prayer
-Lord I thank and praise you for the seed and sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
-Thank you for considering me worthy of the precious blood of Jesus.
-Father, your seed did not fail and so mine will not fail as well in Jesus Name.
-I deploy my seed in faith towards my rising from any kind of downfall in Jesus Name.
Nugget
The earth will not yield a harvest for you just because you desire it, you must defeat the powers that are beneath the earth and this is achieved by sowing.
