Psalms 67:5-7 KJV
“Let the
people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee. Then shall
the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us.
God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him.”
People have wondered why they never get to see returns on investments, and many have marveled at how many mishaps get to take place just about when their harvests or dividends were to mature.
The frank truth about it all is that there are contending forces that seek to either stop your harvest or totally derail and delay it.
These powers fight from underneath the ground to mess you up, and this is where your fertilizer must be introduced.
When the ground is not yielding the way it ought to, then some kind of fertilizer is needed to boost the productive capacity of the ground. In the context of our discourse, praise is that fertilizer that will cause your ground to produce for you.
Our text says “let the people praise you, let all the people praise you, then shall the earth yield her increase and God shall bless us.”
When God wants to bless you, He causes the earth to produce for you, and when He wants to deal with a man, He also causes the earth to cease producing for that man.
When man sinned in Eden, one would have expected that God would curse man directly, but He didn't do so.
The reason is that man was and is made in God's image, so cursing man will be cursing Himself. Rather, he cursed man indirectly by cursing the ground for man's sake; (Genesis 3:17-18).
The ground was to now bring forth thrones and thistles instead of fruit and food for man. But praise will reverse the case for you. Praise will reverse the hardness of the ground and make it soft and productive.
The ground refers to your farm land, your location of business, the potential market or audience for your business and even the very kind of business itself.
It may be tough for others, but as you lift up your voice in praise to God, the earth will yield her increase for you in Jesus Name.
Assignment/Prayer
i. Make no requests today, just give plenty of thanks. Instead of a prayer request list, write down a thanksgiving list today.
ii. Burst out into radical praise and worship today.
iii. Place your documents or anything that represents your career or business on the table or floor and dance to a very powerful praise and worship CD.
