At 39 years,Emmanuel Macron could become the youngest president France has ever had and the first President in the Fifth Republic who does not belong to a major political party.
In the French presidential election he was seen as a political newcomer and ran without the backing of an established party.
Overcome time and in his youthful age Emma has held various political positions like,Deputy Secretary General of the Elysee in 2012 under the Francois Hollande's first government in 2012,Minister of the Economy,Industry and Digital Affairs in 2014 where he resign to contest the Presidency in 2017.
Born on 21st December 1977,Emma poll a total of 23.9 percent of the votes to qualify him for the rerun which will be held on 7th May with Marine le Pen who had about 21.4 percent of the votes.
As a youth, one of his campaign promises had include "Ban on mobile phone use for under 15s and a £500 culture pass for 18 years olds.
With other candidates throwing their support behind Mr. Macron,he is likely to emerge the President of one of the strongest economy .
In his campaign, he stated that "The challenge is to break completely with the system which has been able to find solutions to the problems of our country for more than thirty years" If at 39 ,he is talking about the problems that held the country down ,it now means that from age 9,he was not only interested in diagnosing the problems but maybe when he come of age,he traces the problems down three decades.
He got prepared for the task ahead and even succeeded so far as an independent candidate on the platform of his own progressive movement _En Marche.
So far for Emmanuel Macron whom I and a good numbers of youths in Akwa Ibom and indeed Nigeria is older than.
What have we done to wrestle this society free from mundane ideas, recycled faces who are bend on sustaining us on the toga of a sucking adult? What synergy are we bringing together to forestall permanent incapacitation of our inherent talents a d gifts?
How long must we refused to dare because we fear?
How long are we going to slavishly follow the path of stale ideas?
How long will we continue to be slaves in our own generation?
How long shall we continue to pull down one of our own who dare because we fear he may Lord over us?
The youths of our time, when is our time?
I was moved to tears recently when people called party to celebrate their appointment into one office or the order in either State Youth Caucus or Youth Council,Facebook was washed with congratulatory messages I equally congratulate you but let me ask,is that really your worth?
In what ways can you use that position to affect policies and decisions in your locality?
It is a pity that when youths of my age in other climes are making positive impacts, youth in my country are busy running ignominious errand, while others are appointed into lucrative position of infuence,we
We are lured into position that will breed difference and hatred.
When will our talents be harnessed for the growth of our respective domain?
If Emmanuel Mar on can make it, You can make it!
Let's refused to be the sedan carriers of the 21st century, lets rise and take up what belongs to us. Let's support industry and excellence. Let's support our own, let's drop the feeding bottles, let's spice the necessary cuisines for our generation.
OH YOUTHS,LETS TAKE OUR RIGHTFUL PLACE NOW!
