Catching Them Young: Akwa United Under 15 Depart Uyo On Friday.

Akwa United FC of Uyo under 15 lads will this weekend depart the state to Owerri, Imo state capital where they will be battling for supremacy alongside other four under 15 clubs from 10th to 15th of this month.
 

Akwa united under 15 is in group A where they will play, FC Ifeanyi Uba, Abia Warriors, Enyimba International and Rivers united.

The first and second runners up from each group will progress to the next round of the city competition.
This is inline with the LMC decision that all the clubs in the NPFL should have an under 15 team who will eventually progress to the main clubs.
 
Hinting Ibom Chronicle Newspaper sports desk that it was the best thing to happen in the interest of football development in the state, the Senior special assistant to Governor Udom Emmanuel, on sports, Mr. Paul Bassey said that the young talents will be wearing same Jersey colour with Akwa united.

Mr. Bassey, who had earlier donated 10 boots to players of Akwa starlets FC is ensuring that all the players of Akwa united under 15 are in good form in terms of logistics before their departure for the competition.
 
Investigation by Ibom Chronicle, shows that the young lads who using Akwa united bus for their trainings are in high spirit and are battle ready for the competition.
