Breaking: Delta State Govt Offers Free Legal Services To Deserving Members Of The Public

It is hereby announced for the information of the general public particularly indigent persons resident in the State, that the Ministry of Justice has established a Special Unit known as the Public Advisory Services Unit to provide and render free Legal advice to members of the public desirous of seeking legal advice and representation.


By this announcement members of the public particularly litigants should note that the creation of the Public Advisory Services Unit is one of the laudable initiative of the Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa’s administration commitment in ensuring that all Deltans and non-Deltans alike have free access to Justice and their fundamental rights to legal representation are well protected.

Members of the public who are desirous of seeking legal advice and representation are therefore enjoined to take advantage of this Government initiative by visiting the Public Advisory Services Unit, Ministry of Justice Headquarters Office, Ibusa Road, Asaba or any of the Zonal Offices of the Ministry located at Warri, Effurun/Orerokpe, Ughelli, Sapele, Otu-Jeremi, Kwale, Ozoro, Agbor, Issele-Uku, Ogwashi-Uku and Asaba Zonal Office for free Legal Advice.

Desk Officers have been assigned at the various locations to attend to members of the public FREE OF CHARGE and make referrals when necessary to the appropriate Departments including Mediation Centers of the Ministry as well as to private Lawyers partnering with the Ministry of Justice who have indicated interest to render pro bono services for prompt attention.
