Akwa United's
Hat-trick hero Alhassan Ibrahim has revealed that he has not set goals
target for himself this season but he want to score in every game he
plays.
The midfielder has scored 9 goals in fifteen matches this
season including a hat-trick against Shooting Stars Sports Club 3SC on
Sunday in a Nigeria Professional Football League match in Uyo.
The former national U20 star maintained that his focus is to work with his team mates to help Akwa United win as many matches as possible to ensure they emerged champions this season.
" I am very happy that I score my first Hat-trick for this great club this season, I thank God and I also appreciate the efforts of my team mates for all the assists. I want to specially thank my coaches for believing in me".
" I have scored nine goals in fifteen matches, I pray God to give me the grace to score in every match I play. I do not have a personal target in terms of the number of goals I want to score this season because the most important thing is the progress of the team irrespective of who score.
We want to win every match so we can be champions at the end of the season".
"My team mates are wonderful players, they are not selfish at all, they assisted me with many of the goals i have scored.
After scoring my second goal (against 3SC) all my team mates were telling me you can score a hat-trick and when I scored the third goal they were still encouraging me to score more.
I am enjoying the way we work as a team. Akwa United is a great club and I am proud to be part of this team".
The former Wikki Tourists player will be expected to take his scoring boots to Kano when the Promise Keepers will face his hometown club Kano Pillars this weekend.
