I have sleepless night anytime the mother of this young man, Cornelius
Ubara called me on the issue of her only son.
The story is that Mr.
Osuji ordered the SSS in Abuja to arrest this young man who was their
tenant after the Police have left him from the hook for not finding any
incriminating issue that connect Cornelius Ubara to the kidnapping of
Miss Precious Osuji, the 16 year old daughter of Mr. Osuji.
Cornelius
Ubara was only arrested on mere suspicion by Mr. Osuji and since 2015,
Cornelius is only seen once that was in 2016 by his Lawyer who demanded
for the young man to be charged to court.
But according to source, the
SSS have turned down this appeal for months now because Mr. Osuji have
someone in SSS Headquarter in Abuja where Cornelius is being detained
not to allow him access to the young man.
The only time the Lawyer could
get access to Cornelius Ubara was when the church he served, the
Redeemed Christian Church of God, in Abuja area demanded to see the
young man as someone who is always working in the church.
Mr. Osuji has
already vowed that the parents of Cornelius Ubara will never see their
son as far as they dont see their daughter.
As am writing now, the mother of Cornelius Ubara is roaming the street of Abuja seeking for help on how his only son can be released for her.
I am touched every time she called me and one thing I told her is that if she is convinced that her son is alive, then he must surely come out from SSS Cell in Abuja.
The question I want Nigerians to ask SSS are:
1. What evidence did you find with Cornelius Ubara that confirmed that he kidnapped Miss Precious Osuji?
2. Why is the accused kidnapper not charge to court for close to two years now?
3. Why do you denied his Lawyer access all this while?
4. Nigeria is operating a democratic government, why do we have more citizens in SSS detention when such cases should be charge to court?
I am calling on Akwa Ibom people, human rights activists, civil society organizations across the country to demand from SSS the whereabout of CORNELIUS UBARA. I want the world to unravel the scene behind Cornelius Ubara continuous detention in SSS Cell for over a year now.
Many Akwa Ibomites have been killed in many cities but we will not keep silent and watch our children being detain for crime they do not know anything about.
I hereby call on Akwa Ibom government, the media community, representatives of Cornelius Ubara to demand from SSS the whereabout of their son.

CORNELIUS UBARA is from Oruk Anam local government area of Akwa Ibom State and went to Abuja for greener pasture.
He is a pianist with the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Lugbe Area before he was arrested as a suspect on the missing of Precious Osuji.
