It
is no longer funny when politics of deception and falsehood is
extended to the alter of God by most ambitious politicians.
This
negative practices is abominable and by all indication a sin of
sacrilege; an act of disregard which pull serious blasphemy to the
sanctity of God's vineyard and above all, it is contradictory to
biblical laws and principle.
I watched with dismay the
documentary of the ongoing politically motivated monthly prayers
submit organized by leadership of Akwa Ibom State Government as the
service moved to MCN Eyulor - Oro, Urue Offong/ Oruko LGA last Sunday,
26/3/2017.
My concern here is not in view of the fact that my LGA
was given such 'latent' recognition by AKS government, but the drama
that plays thereof by Ephraim Inyangeyen, Honourable commissioner for
works who held brief for His Excellency ( Deacon) Udom Emmanuel,
Executive Governor.
As a matter of sincerity and politeness, I
wouldn't have love to comment on these very event due to personal
reasons but such deliberate intention will pose serious injury,
injustice, and pain to my conscience as a person while leaving others
with little or no information masked with perpetual darkness.
I
was totally down in the mouth when I read through the online publication
by OSONDU AHIRICA where Ephraim Inyangeyen mentioned in his speech
that:
" Governor Emmanuel assured Urueoffong Oruko People that
in a week's time, the Road projects covering ASAK IKANG- ETISONG- OKOBO
ROAD, ABIAK OWO- AKAI UDO- ATAK IDANK- OSU- EYESIN- ODUO - ADAEBA
Road will be profiled for construction, reiterating the irrevocable
resolve of his administration to construct at least one major road in
each LGA before the end of 2019".
Taking in-depth and critical
analysis of the above statement, one could notice clearly that it is
purely a game of the 'New comers' who does not gain tactical
immersion in the concept "politics".
A born and bred indegene
of Oro and indeed Urueoffong/ Oruko can convincingly with mush evidence
attest to the fact that non of the Road mentioned above by Ephraim
Inyaneyen neither links nor traversed any of the ( THIRTY THREE)
villages that make up the LGA. If I'm not correct, I stand to be
contested.
Can this gimmicks play save in UrueOffong/ Oruko of all people? Impossible!
Can this gimmicks play save in UrueOffong/ Oruko of all people? Impossible!
We had suffered the ills of Akpabio's Eight years tenure as a people
with nothing to show in terms of infrastructure even when Akwa Ibom was
swimming in surpluses and unusual affluence.
The wound has refused to
heal, Our tears drips now than before, We are still the way we were
because looking at present leadership of our state with an eagle eye,
we've discovered that " A leopard cannot change its spots".
If
lies are well constructed, it could scale it way out of contentions.
I
suggests Ephraim Inyangeyen ( A Custom Officer turned Construction
Engineer) should go back to the aerial map and photograph of Akwa Ibom
State and place Urueoffong/ Oruko at its rightful position to abate
future mistakes.
When you want buy a cock, you better check the head!
When you want buy a cock, you better check the head!
Urueoffong/Oruko that I know and belongs to is proudly the home of
intelligentsia and our neighborhood knows us as such. When we cling to
something, you hardly shifts us an inch. It is fallacious for anyone to
believe that we can easily be taken off by cheap pranks and political
Drama.
If Governor UDOM really mean well for Us and probably hope
for our support for his administration, let him take politics out of
the church and rather convene a Town Hall meeting where he can stand
tall and proudly states how far his leadership has impacted on the good
people of Urueoffong/ Oruko in terms of political appointments,
Education, Youth Empowerment and Infrastructural Development.
Let me not join issues with the recent online post by OSONDU AHIRICA
about the people of Urueoffong/ Oruko because it is immaterial and
highly inconsequential.
In case we didn't know, 'imposition' and 'carry go' has long been buried in Urueoffong Oruko.
When 2019 comes by God's grace, Akwa Ibom will hear from Us.
A stitch in time saves nine!
GOD BLESS AKWA IBOM STATE.
