In line with the promises she made to her constituents during the last House of Assembly elections, Deputy Speaker, Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Rt (Hon) Princess Felicia Bassey, is set to render the account of her stewardship to her people.
According to a release signed by the female parliamentarian who represents Okobo State Constituency, the event tagged: "Constituency Briefing and Empowerment Programme for Okobo People", is slated for Wednesday, 26th April, 2017 at Government Primary School, Okopedi Okobo by 10 o clock in the morning.
However, the great event would attract creme-de-la-creme in the State including the State Governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel and wife, Deaconess Martha Emmanuel, deputy governor, Mr Moses Ekpo as well as the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt Hon (Barr) Onofiok Luke, who would storm the venue with the entire members of the house.
The long list of dignitaries and senior citizens expected include; State Chairman of the PDP, Obong Paul Ekpo and the State Working Committee of the party, PDP faithful in the State, Commissioners, Chairmen and members of Boards and Commissions, Chairmen and members of the Local Government Caretaker Committees in the State, Aides of the Governor, Clergymen, the traditional rulers, youth and women groups in Okobo including members of FEYReP, among others.
The Deputy Speaker who stressed that she was not deterred by the current economic turmoil in the country, assured the people that items worth Millions of Naira would be distributed to thousands of her constituents.
Princess Bassey called on all and sundry to witness what she termed "a unique moment when many members of her constituency would be empowered with various items to make them self-reliant and, possibly employers of labour".
