Ibrahim Magu
Prince Chris Abasi Eyo
In contradistinction to
copious vituperative spews in the direction of the Nigerian Senate, for
screening out Supol Ibrahim Magu, as the substantive EFCC boss, on
grounds already known to us, the PMB led Federal Government, is to blame
for their insistence on Ibrahim Magu, as though he was the only
Nigerian qualified to play the hatchet man, as though created with
exceptionally virtuous traces in his DNA, as having martyr soul with
irredentist spirit.
This created an
alibi for the Senate, to act in the manner they did. After all, Magu's
alleged and unredeemed wrongdoings, are in the public domain. Therefore,
the Senate, acted suo loco.
Consequent thereto, I maintain my earlier position that, if PMB and his
anti-corruptionists, are saintly enough to shield no sacred cow in
their fold and brood no vendetta, no amount of mudslingings and
legislative filibustering will collapse their walls of genuineness.
But
if the reverse is the case, it is only for a while, their walls of
Jerico, shall crumble like a house of cards, where a winnable battle
would turn a debacle.
This is premised upon the fact that,
causality gives birth to effectuality and more so on the immutability
that, the Aquarian millennium with its water carrier, which humanity has
blazed into, spares no wolves in ship clothing nor leaves any wrong
foundation unturned, just like rainfall which spares no one's roof.
Because, this emerging age, by its very nature, washes off everything
not rooted in truth and builds not on a firm base.
Through this washing
off, the hidden shall come to the fore while the Unknown shall become
known, as water knows no enemy nor foe.
However, the travails of
Nigeria and the related difficulties she faces in identifying her
chimera or in search of her soul of redemption and its attendant agonies
in having the rebirth in the sun of Her Manifest Destiny, should be
convincing enough to win the hearts of sincere Nigerians to support
genuine anti corruption fights.
But this must be anchored on the rule of
law, so that tyrants won't fly on the wings of political absolutism to
kowtow perceived oppositions into political quietus for the fear of the
sword of Damocles. This was how Nazism started.
Therefore, to all involved, I say to you, FESTINA LENTE - MAKE HASTE BUT SLOWLY.
THERE IS A BETTER WAY THAN THIS!
