It was a big woe for a sacked Senator Bassey Albert Akpan as the
Federal High Court sitting in Uyo outrightly rejected his application to
obtain stay of execution in the judgement of Justice F O Riman of
February 27, 2017 that earlier ousted him as the senator representing
Akwa Ibom North East Senatorial
District, and ordered immediate swearing
in of the Original winner of the PDP senatorial Primary of 2014, Rt. Hon. Bassey Etim.
With the judgement that strikes out the stay of execution application by the ousted Senator Bassey Albert
Akpan, there is no emcombrances stoping the leadership of the National Assembly from swearing Rt. Hon. Bassey Etim.
