1 John 5:7-8 KJV
“For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one”.
A few days ago, we saw how the Holy Spirit is a witnessing Spirit. He witnesses to your spirit about things you want to do, are doing or should be doing. He approves, disapproves and rejects some of your moves by either giving you God’s Peace or withdrawing it from you. But we will be looking a little deeper into this witnessing role of the Holy Spirit in our lives today. Where does He get His witnessing from, and how does He go about it?
The Holy Spirit is the only person in the Godhead that is available both in heaven and earth as a Spirit, just like our text points out. There are three who bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word and the Holy Spirit. So, there is always a meeting in heaven between the Godhead, and it seems to me that the Holy Spirit records all that is discussed about us in heaven’s council for our benefit, and then down here on earth, He then bears witness.
This is how it works. After He must have taken His records in the meeting of heaven, He then communicates those decisions by way of witnesses in and to our spirits. This explains why when He sees you moving in a wrong direction, contrary to what had been discussed and recorded in heaven about you, He would do everything to deter you from such a direction or decision. It is why you get to feel uneasy until you align with the witness in your spirit. He also witnesses God’s will to your heart on what you should be doing now by way of ideas. This is how people make progression life.
Receive grace to receive and enjoy the witnessing of the Holy Spirit today in Jesus Name.

i. Ask the Lord to help you develop a very close relationship with the Holy Spirit from today.
ii. Apply for more sensitivity to the Holy Spirit from today in Jesus Name.
