1:5 NKJV
“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and
without reproach, and it will be given to him.”
One of the most important realities of life is that
not everything is learnt or comes by training. Some things come by impartation
and are simply received from above. Wise men have said that some things are
taught, while others are caught. Principles are taught but revelation is
caught. Wisdom is one of those things that is caught and imparted.
The reason is that, wisdom is a spirit amongst and above many other things. As
such, you cannot just depend on being taught, you also have to ask for wisdom
from God. When the spirit of wisdom comes upon you, you will find yourself
solving problems like a joke; you will be a person of quick understanding. You
will easily understand problems before they are done telling you about them.
As
a matter of fact, you will be very prophetic about your approach to
problem-solving. You will not wait for the problems to fully materialize before
you solve them. That was the kind of spirit that was on Joseph and Daniel.
Pharaoh who never knew God said of Joseph in Genesis
41:38 "can we find such a man as this, in whom the Spirit of God is?” He
was referring to the spirit of wisdom. It was said of Daniel in several
occasions that the spirit of the holy gods dwelt in him, and at other times it
was said that he had an excellent spirit; (Daniel 5:11-12). They were all
referring to the spirit of wisdom too.
In Isaiah 11:2 we see very clearly that
the spirit of wisdom is one of the seven spirits of God according to Revelation
3:1. So, you are supposed to ask for wisdom every step of the way, to conquer
every new challenge you encounter, because each challenge requires its own
unique wisdom; better still, possessing the spirit of wisdom, will suffice.
Keep asking for wisdom and trust God to fill you with the spirit of wisdom in
Jesus Name.
Assignment/Prayer
-Ask God for target specific wisdom in your life in Jesus Name.
-Ask the Lord for the outpouring of the spirit of wisdom into your life from
today.
-Become wisdom conscious from today.
