"You need to get a grip Ifeoma, stop dating these hungry boys. Boys
that can't even afford to take you to a one star restaurant."
Ohhhhhh. Here we go again, Daniella keeps going on and on about how I never date rich guys. Irrespective of their ages or marital status, all she cares about are the sizes of their wallets.
"We won't all date or marry rich men. Besides, I don't do married men, and you know it. Kindly respect my choices as I have, yours; besides I'm not dating anyone. I'm not ready for that."
I tell her this time around with a kind of seriousness I have never shown.

Ifeoma is my childhood friend. We both come from humble backgrounds.
Our fathers are both civil servants. While my Dad worked with the state ministry of works as a draught man, hers is an account clerk in one of the government secondary schools in Imo state.
My mother trades in fairly used clothes while hers is a food vendor.
We've been through so much together, we both lived in the same compound for years but my family moved when my Dad retired from civil service and we had to move back to the village since my father managed to build a small house there.
