The Family Pattern Of Negative Mentality - By P. Ezekiel Atang

Proverbs 23:7 KJV

“For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.”
What makes a man is what he thinks, how he thinks and the quality of his thoughts. No man can be better than his thoughts, and no one can rise above the level of their thoughts.

So, the first suspect of any man's calamity and continued misfortune is his mind and mentality. This explains why the bible says "as he thinks in his heart so is he".

In the same vein, if an entire family thinks alike, they will all have the same kind of results. And when people see the outcome of every member of that family, they may begin to think it is a negative family pattern at work here.

True, or may be, but not as a result of any spirit or history, but as the result of the similarity in mentality of the entire family. Just as knowledge is transferable, ignorance can be transferred as well.

What a parent fails to know, his children may never know, and if the children do not aggressively break from their parent’s practices to learn something new, they will end up with the same result as their parents.

When this thought pattern continues unhindered, unchallenged and unchanged, it would create a pattern of results that will present itself as negative family patterns.

I have seen many families run for all kinds of deliverances when the real problem is in their thinking. Until you think differently nothing will change.

Think like your father and get your father's results, do things your father did and you will end up where your father ended.

I prophesy that you shall be greater than your father and forefathers in Jesus Name.

Assignment

-Note the trend of possible failure in your family and try to discern the kind of thought pattern that got them there.

-Challenge that thinking, and then develop better thinking patterns for yourself.

-Expect greater results in Jesus Name.

Prayer

-Lord please empower me to think differently in Jesus Name.

Nugget

No man can be better than his thoughts, so until you think differently nothing will change.
