Governor udom Emmanuel has been commended by leaders of Uyo local
government area for what they say，is his developmental strides and
commitment to delivering his campaign promises to the people
The commendation was given as the uyo chapter of PDP embarked upon it's ward tour

Which kicked off on Tuesday, May 16,2019 with a visit to wards 2,3 and 7
and the second lap on Thursday with wards 5,4 & 1 taking their
turn.
The tour was led by the PDP Vice Chairman of Uyo Senatorial
district, Elder Imoh Okon in collaboration with the Chapter Chairman,
Mr. Idorenyin Orok.
Giving reasons for the PDP Ward Tour in Uyo,
Elder Imoh Okon stated that, the tour is aimed at engaging and reaching
out to people at the grassroot and strengthening the bond with them as
PDP has become a family.
Elder Okon explained that, the
leadership of the party did not want to wait until election is due to
interface with the members who have solidly stood by the party and
thanked the people for coming out in their numbers to attend the ward
rallies.
The political leader of uyo, sir Val Attah disclosed
that, the tour offers a platform to communicate and share government
programmes, projects, achievements as well as create awareness on voters
registration with the people.
In his speech, the Transition Committee chairman of Uyo, Barrister Mfon Ben thanked the people of uyo
for the Mandate given to the Governor and all the candidates during the
last election, and charged them to remain unwavering and keep faith in
the party as that is a sure guarantee for sustainable development.
In a solidarity message, the Information and strategy Commissioner Mr Charles Udoh lauded Uyo PDP for remaining steadfast in their support for Governor Emmanuel and restated the determination of the governor to make Akwa Ibom State a major hub of industries in Niger.

On his part, the immediate past commissioner for housing and Urban renewal, Prince Enobong Uwah, thanked Uyo people for taking the lead in uniting for the reelection of Governor Udom Emmanuel and for unanimously endorsing him for a second term, arguing that, for constructing the Information Drive, and ongoing projects like Ntiedo street, Anua Mbak Isshiet road, Atan offot roads, the governor has done well for uyo local government.
Prince Uwah further added that for other developmental projects like the new Secretariat annex at Udo Udoma Avenue, the intervention in St Luke's Hospital Anua and in Cornelia Cornelia College, Uyo , as well as appointing several Uyo people to serve in his administration,governor Udom Emmanuel is deserving of the total support of Uyo people .
