We the under listed Unions and Associations in the transport sector in Akwa Ibom State, wish to congratulate His Excellency the Governor of Akwa Ibom State Deacon Udom Gabriel Emmanuel on his gigantic industrialization strides and his friendly relationship with the transport operators in the State.

We also congratulate the Commissioner for transport and Petroleum Resources, Rt. Hon. Orman Esin for standing by the Unions and Associations in the transport sub sector on his recent inauguration of the Compliance and monitoring team to sanitize the system.

We also wish to use this medium to condemn in totality the recent blackmail on the Hon. Commissioner for Transport and Petroleum Resources Rt. Hon. Orman Esin by some group of persons in the name of transport stakeholders that the unions and the real stakeholders warn those perpetrators to desist from their selfish act.

We commend the Ministry of Transport and Petroleum Resources for the bold step to terminate the contract of Finger Print Construction Company which we note was working against the effectiveness and smooth running of our business.

We pledge our total support to the government of Akwa Ibom State, the Ministry of Transport and Petroleum Resources and well meaning stakeholders in the sector and will work with them to ensure a smooth effective transport system in the State.
